Bird flu spreads in Maharastra

It happened again! The bird flu hit India pretty hard this time; thousands of birds died and lakhs were destroyed to keep the flu from spreading. Sri Lanka and Nepal bans the import of Indian poultry products. The news flash began day before yesterday when bird flu was flavour of all the top news channels; it was one of the top headlines and looked pretty scary.

The first thing we did was we called up and smsed all our friends and people in our circle to inform them about this sudden flu fly-over, except for one non of them knew about it and were quite shocked at this birdie development.

There were two types of reaction we came across while acting as news bulletins to the people; the first, type A - Shocked, scared and pretty confused as to what bird flu actually means and what it can do to them. Is it really that serious and dangerous? What follows is an hour long discussion and debate, confusing both the parties. Surely, if we boil the meat and the eggs to a certain degree there shouldn't be any problem?

But why eat the poultry products and carry the impending shadow with you and your family, I mean, "Surely you can give up poultry for a month at least?!"

Well, as a citizen and a responsible person it is our duty to warn and keep our fellow citizens informed. That done, to each his own.
